The harbor city of Shanghai is the most prominent industrial city of China and by population the second-largest city, after Chongqing. The Shanghai lies on the Yangtze River Delta on the Huangpu River. The name Shang-hai means "above/onto the sea". Shanghai is on the east coast of China.
