Shopping in Hong Kong

Updated 12 September 2026

Times Square

One of Hong Kong's best-known shopping centers, right at Causeway Bay MTR station. It's home to a range of designer boutiques, with restaurants on the lower floors — clothing prices here can run up to half of what you'd pay in Europe.

Sogo

Also in Causeway Bay, a department store especially popular with Japanese and Korean visitors, with designer boutiques, restaurants and bookstores.

Wan Chai

The Wan Chai Computer Centre has everything for tech enthusiasts, at prices somewhat below European levels.

Supermarkets

7-Eleven is, of course, everywhere in Hong Kong too — Octopus card accepted — for drinks, snacks and everyday essentials. Wellcome is a budget supermarket chain found on nearly every corner.

Street markets

Ladies' Market

Hong Kong's best-known street market, selling clothing, souvenirs and Chinese-language CDs. Prices are marked, so bargaining is limited.

Temple Street Night Market

The classic tourist night market, running from evening until around midnight, with all kinds of souvenirs and gifts to take home.
