The grave of Nurhaci, who started the invasion into China, the grave of Huan Taiji, who was the founder of the Qing-Dynasty, as well as the old emperor's palace of the Qing-Dynasty are worth a visit. Dalian which is also called Hongkong of the North, was occupied by Russia and Japan during 19th and at the beginning of 20th century. There are several parks and nice beaches around Dalian. Take the Yalu River Boat Cruise and you can have a closer look at the North-Korean boarder (just for the "I´ve been there-feeling"...actually, there is not much to see) |
