General Information: | More than 99% of the population are Han-Chinese. The largest minority group is the She; other minorities are the Bai, Hui, Miao and Yao. The most important river is the Gan river, which runs across the province from north to south where it leads into the Poyang lake. The Yangtze River borders the province. The climate is semitropical. The biggest towns are Nanchang, Jiujiang, Pingxiang, Jingdezhen, Ganzhou and Yingtan. |
